Description
"In the late 1960's and early 1970's a handful of hippie cyclists literally re-invented the wheel. These early pioneers scavenged frames from dumpsters and junkyards and lifted parts from road bikes and motorcycles to build a better way down the mountain. Little did they realize their obsessive tinkering would ulitmately lead to the birth of a multi-billion dollar industry and an Olympic sport. These modified bikes, the precursor to the modern-day mountain bike, became affectionately known as Klunkerz."--Container.
